I’m originally from San Diego and I have been in the Bay Area since 1999. I originally lived in San Francisco but when we had our first child, we moved here to Alameda for the beauty, safety, and amazing people. I could not think of a better place to live and work, and raise my two daughters. I’ve been in the industry since 2005, and before settling in Alameda I got top education at some of the best salons in San Francisco. In 2013 I received my Deva Cut certification and began my journey as a curl specialist. Often curly haired people have struggled with their hair since childhood, so I find it very rewarding to help them fall in love with their hair all over again! We have a plethora of techniques and products for curly and wavy hair at the salon and we can find the perfect match for your hair. One of the things I love the most about hair is it’s versatility! I am dedicated to helping people find a style that works for them in their daily lives, at whatever level of commitment they are most comfortable with. Born in Utah and adopted at 3 days old. My siblings were also adopted from different families. Later in life I would meet my birth father on a major talk show, and 15 years after meet my birth mother as well. It’s quite the story! Obsessed with being beautiful, I started sneaking make-up to school at a young age, much to my mother’s dismay .Keeping up with the latest hair trends was important to me and I never wanted to be scary, or ugly at Halloween. So when dad said, you need to find something to do with your life, beauty school seemed the obvious choice. I didn’t find my true love for hair until later in my career. I was gonna be a Rock Star! Hair was a day job, until I woke up and realized I needed to rethink my life. So i got into a salon with great education and fell in love with hair. Education is so important to me, and I keep up with the latest trends, taking classes whenever I can. Lately, it’s been all about razor cutting, taking classes with Pony salon and Jayne from Edo salon. On my days off you can find me running around my cute island home of Alameda in my purple car, (probably listening to an audio book). At home you'll find me cuddled up with my two cats watching a Netflix series or movie. I also sing for a band called The Hyperdrive Kittens. I love mermaids and anything sparkly!
